Since the 12th century, Nepal's sacred religious texts and official government records have been recorded and preserved using a wildcrafted handmade artisan paper derived from the fibrous inner bark of the Nepalese Lokta bush.

I use handmade marbled Lokta paper to design and create modular origami sculpture. Each piece is comprised of interlocking triangular units based on the Golden Venture folding technique.

Lokta paper's natural resistance to tearing, humidity, insects, and mildew infuses my origami with an organically rich, highly durable texture, enabling me to celebrate nature's resilient beauty.
